Nat'l Aboriginal Day
Host: Town of Olds
Description: Celebrate National Aboriginal Day in Olds, Traditional Treaty 7 Territory and Region 3 of the Métis Nation of Alberta! Opening Ceremony starts at 9:30 am followed by traditional cultural events, story telling, arts and entertainment including: Métis dancing and fiddling, First Nations dancers, drumming, Tipi Village, traditional artisan vendor, food vendor, and family fun throughout the day! Feature Film “Elder in the Making” - Mayfair Cinema, 4910 - 50 Ave. “The land is like our Mother. It is the source of life.” Narcisse Blood 6:45 pm - Doors open, free admission! 7:00 pm - Start of film 8:30 pm - Discussion to follow. Ccelebrating the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis!
