Country Christmas

Library Storytime
Host: Didsbury Municipal Library
Description: Every Friday until December 8th, bring your little ones to enjoy stories and songs with Rachel. Designed for 3 to 5 year olds, this program will appeal to babes-n-arms too - bring the family and participate in this fun-filled early literacy program. Reading and singing to children and engaging in fun literacy activities helps parents strengthen relationships and improve literacy which, in turn, encourages lifelong learning. Never too late to start, or too early to begin.

DHS Drama Production
Host: DHS Drama
Description: Didsbury High School Drama presents Superheroes, Unite! Written by: Leslie Cardwell and Jessica Stephens. Directed by: Cali Beazley. The citizens of Nova City need a patron superhero to save them from the evil clutches of the nefarious Colonel Mustard and his sidekick Hemlock. So what do they do? They hold an audition, of course! Legions of fantastic, incredible, and uncanny characters descend upon City Hall hoping the mayor and police commissioner might marvel at their strange powers, which range from super strength to super speed, from mind reading to animal whispering, from quoting Shakespeare to pointing out irony. Okay, so some superpowers are more helpful than others, but when Colonel Mustard unleashes a surprise attack on City Hall, both the mighty and the average must join together to bring justice and security to Nova City. Starring: Robert Connors, Michael Fawns, Haleigh Hopps, Karson Dussault, Maria Lemon, Britnie Morrison, Sarah Nowlan, and Lauren Ward. Performances: December 1st at 7 pm ($15/person) December 2nd at 1 pm($10/person) December 2nd at 7 pm ($15/person). Doors open at 6:30 pm and 12:30 pm. Tickets at the high school.

EFOC Fundraiser
Host: Essentials for our community
Description: Let us Help you while Helping us support the community! Volunteers will be at AG Foods carrying out groceries, and at Centex gas pumping fuel, to help raise funds for Essentials for our Community. Service is by donation, with all funds raised going towards the purchase of prepaid food and gas cards to help families in our community.

Book Sale
Host: Friends of the Didsbury Library Society
Description: The Friends of the Didsbury Library will be celebrating Didsbury Country Christmas on December 1, 2107. We will be open from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the old Didsbury Fire Hall at 2101 - 19th Avenue. Please come and join us for Hot Apple Cider and some Christmas goodies to munch on as you browse through the thousands of books available. We will also have a special gift table of books and items we think will make great gifts. Payment is by donation and all funds go to support the Didsbury Library
