ARTS SOCIETY Didsbury's Not For Profit Society of 2015!

The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.
Contact any member of the Board of Directors if you would like to volunteer with the Society, or participate in one of our events.
We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Ducks Unlimited

Description: Didsbury Ducks Unlimited would love for you to join us for our 17th Annual Ducks Unlimited Banquet. Ducks Unlimited is a major contributor to wetland conservation and needs YOU to help make the evening fun and successful. We're sure you'll love our selection of great 2018 Ducks Unlimited Merchandise which includes limited edition framed artwork, home accents and collectables. There will be a live and silent auction as well as other fun games. Host: Olds Municipal Library
Description: Join other yarn crafters at the library and help launch our new community group. We will meet the first Saturday of each month. New to yarn craft? Don't be shy. All experience levels are welcome! There are even opportunities to use your crafty talent for a good cause. Hooks and needles welcome. Whether you love to knit or prefer to crochet, our group is open to all stitching enthusiasts. Mature teens are also welcome to join the fun. Drop in and join us. FREE

Learn to Sew
Host: Didsbury Municipal Library
Description: "Sew What?" series runs on Saturday March 3 from 2 - 4 pm, or Wednesday March 7 from 6 - 8 pm. Come in and learn sewing basics with Marge Steckler in the Library's MakerSpace. Using the Library's sewing machines, you can even make your own tote bag. No charge, but please pre-register. (Class size limited, so register soon.)
