ARTS SOCIETY Didsbury's Not For Profit Society of 2015!

The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.
Contact any member of the Board of Directors if you would like to volunteer with the Society, or participate in one of our events.
We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Children's Choir
Host: Top Note Music School
Description: Children's Choir runs on Tuesdays from January 9 to April 10. Have a chance to learn how to sing together and in parts with the experienced Judy Lavigne. Judy has her Masters degree in music from McGill University and now lives in the Didsbury area. She has worked with choirs and groups for years and has helped prepare students to perform in festivals and musical theatre to a high level. Program will be held on January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 3, 10. The cost of this 13 week program is $130. Rhyme Time
Host: Bethany Care Society
Description: Register for this FREE parented program being held on Tuesdays between February 27th and April 3rd. Perfect for newborns to kindergarteners. This is an intergenerational program hosted by Bethany Didsbury. It's a great nursery rhyme refresher and so much more! We'll be rocking out with classic nursery rhymes, songs, a story, even a snack. Painting Class
Host: Olds Art Club
Description: Tie up those loose ends or fix things you don't like on a painting. Bring your unfinished paintings to the class and the supplies you used to create it and get help with it. Bring a note pad and paper to jot down suggestions if you like. Instructor: Dee Poisson. Dee can talk about how to make it better or whatever you are comfortable with regarding your art work. You can bring more than one piece.
