Robber Beware
Host: Mountain View County
Description: A dynamic presentation on preventing and safely managing a robbery. It's something we don't like to think about however, thinking about it could actually prevent becoming a victim of a robbery. In one dynamic session, learn what steps you need to take to prevent a robbery, what to do if one happens and what needs to be done afterwards. Debra deWaal, a former Calgary Police Officer, will share her experiences and knowledge in this informative, high energy and engaging presentation. Prepare yourself to stay safe in any potentially dangerous situation. deWaal is the owner of Safe and Sound Safety Training and Consulting Ltd. Debra's 10 year career with CPS included 3 years undercover work in auto theft, stolen property and vice. Debra also spent numerous years working on the street as a uniformed officer. Debra is a professional member of Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and has been developing and facilitating Mental Toughness, Personal Safety and Conflict Management Training to Canadian citizens since 1995. Description: Join this evening class with other adult learners. Videoconferenced delivery is supported with a certified teacher to get you through trouble spots. If you're an Albertan 18 years or age or older, and have been out of school for at least one year this program may be for you. Free to those who qualify. Limited spots.
