Description: Travel the world of cookbooks the first Thursday of each month. Tasty Pages Cookbook Club is a chance to try out various recipes with the support of a group of enthusiastic home cooks. Bring a sample of your favorite recipes based on the monthly theme. Talk about your best (and worst) cooking/baking experiences. Share a bite and enjoy the camaraderie.. Grief Recovery
Host: Mountain View Emergency Shelter
Description: If your heart is broken, if you have experienced any loss, the Grief Recovery Method may be what you're looking for. If you can make an 8 week commitment, if you're willing to do the reading and homework, and if you're willing to feel the feelings, this could be for you. Cost: Free. Group starts today and runs on Thursdays until June 29th. This program is offered through MVES, but your loos does NOT have to be related to our services. Please pre-register.

COP Training
Host: Citizens on Patrol
Description: Volunteers Wanted - Citizens on Patrol is a group of citizens who participate in a community based crime prevention, observation and reporting suspicious activities while on patrol. Volunteers work closely with the local detachment and complete mandatory training in surveillance and observation techniques, note taking, as well as safe patrolling practices. Applicants must have a clear record, be able to pass a comprehensive security screening conducted by the RCMP. Applications are available at the Town of Olds Administration Office or the Olds RCMP Detachment.

Farmers Market
Host: Olds Regional Exhibition
Description: Vendors offer unique items including sewing, knitting, baking, woodworking, fruits, vegetables, and numerous other items under the Cow Palace roof, as well as an amazing outdoor market that has grown to be one of the favourites in the area. The 2018 Olds Farmers Market begins on May 24th and ends on September 27th. Markets are held in the foyer of the Cow Palace, expanding to include the parking area surrounding the Cow Palace during the summer. Markets run from 3:30 - 6:30 pm on Thursdays.
