The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.
Contact any member of the Board of Directors if you would like to volunteer with the Society, or participate in one of our events.
We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Oldsmobile Show
Host: Oldsmobile Northern Lights Chapter
Description: The 25th annual Rocket Round Up in Olds will be held on July 21, 2018 at Hildebrand Motors in Olds, Alberta 12 noon - 4 pm. Open to all Oldsmobiles 1897-2004. Numbered historic mini Olds artwork with easel to the first 75 participants. Free lunch to all. Music/Trophies/Club T-shirts/Club Golf shirts/Olds Pins/Olds items/flags Door prize - Let's Make a Deal. Long Distance Award (club member only) Long Distance Award (non-club member only) Mayor's Choice Award (open to all) President's Trophy (open to all) Oldest Oldsmobile at Olds Award (open to all) 50/50 engine endurance contest Register and pay on line. Look up Oldsmobile Northern Lights Chapter and go to the Rocket Round Up page. Open to non-club members too, as long as you drive an Oldsmobile Caravans leaving Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver Set up 10-12 / Show 12-4 Last year every participant won a door prize and we also gave out $465 out of a possible $500.

Beef and Barley Days
Host: Carstairs and District Agricultural Society
Description: Beef and Barley Days runs July 20 - 22. Today's events include Pancake Breakfast from 7 - 9:30 am at the Curling Rink. CrossFit 5K at 8 am. Rodeo Slack at 9 am, 1 pm Performance, 1:30 pm Mutton Bustin. Parade at 11 am (Wear your team jersey). All Makes Car Show from 10 am - 3 pm at Carstairs Ford. Art Show from 10 am - 4 pm at the Half Century Club. Farmers Market 12-4 pm at the Curling Rink. Big Rig Show and Shine from 10 am - 5 pm at the Arena. Slowpitch Tournament at Tiny Lafleur Memorial Park. Wagon ride and classic games from 8 am - 4 pm at the Museum. Kids Zone from 12:30 - 4:30 pm behind the Curling Rink (Train rides, big games, obstacle course, treats and snacks). Roast Beef dinner from 5 - 7 pm at the Curling Rink. Cowboy Church Service from 7 - 8 pm at the Living Hope Community Church. Cabaret from 8:30 pm - 2 am at the Curling Rink.
