ARTS SOCIETY Didsbury's Not For Profit Society of 2015!

The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.
Contact any member of the Board of Directors if you would like to volunteer with the Society, or participate in one of our events.
We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Description: Do you know a child who likes to act out story books? Then this camp is for them! Ages 7 - 16. Students will re-enact stories, theatre games and more throughout the 5 days. If time allows, they will also have opportunities to learn different styles of poetry and the proper ways of reciting. We will also have a 'design your t-shirt' on the second day and a pot-luck party the last day. We will end with a final show showcasing their masterpieces on the Saturday. This camp will be fun, fun, fun! COST: $350 by July 15 / $395 after July 16, 2018. PreREGISTRATION: June 28 - 4-6pm at St.John's Anglican Church, Olds, AB. Camp runs August 13 - 17 - 9:30am - 4:30pm with a final performance Aug 18 at 1pm. For more information or to register and pay go to:

Seniors Backyard BBQ
Host: Didsbury Neighborhood Place
Description: Seniors Supports Backyard BBQ Lunch and Games on July 20th and August 17th. Join us under the canopies out in our back yard at Neighbourhood Place, 1606 - 14th Street. Free admission but registration is required so we have the right amount of food.

Horticulture and Craft
Host: Carstairs and District Agricultural Society
Description: 73rd Annual Carstairs Horticultural and Craft Show. New this year: Zucchini Races. This is an opportunity to show off your growing and creative skills. For a list of entry categories and more information, please contact Paige Gil at Show books available online at or at the Carstairs Coop, Library, Museum, or Town Office. The rink will be open to receive exhibits on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday from 8 to 11 am. Doors open to the public Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. ADMISSION: By Donation. Awards Presentations on Friday at 7:30 pm.
