The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.

We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Days of Yore
Host: Mountain View Arts Society
Description: COVID CANCELLED - 5th Annual Days of Yore Reenactment Show will take place at Rosebud Park on August 1 and 2 (Heritage Day weekend), and will entertain and educate the general public through first person interpretation and re-creation of historical events. Featuring the Sons of Fenrir Vikings, Dragons Own Medieval Combat Group, WWII First Special Service Force Re-enactment Group, 78th Fraser Highlanders Group, Victorian Society of Alberta, Edmonton House Brigade, 10th Battalion Commemorative Association (WWI), Prairie Motor Brigade, and Yankee Valley Yankees. By combining historical realism with a touch of fantasy, our guests will offer a show that will thrill and entertain young and old alike. A re-enactment event with such a wonderful variety of historical opportunities. There will be arts and crafts, music, croquet and bocce ball, and battles. The largest re-enactment show in Alberta!
