ARTS SOCIETY Didsbury's Not For Profit Society of 2015!

The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.
Contact any member of the Board of Directors if you would like to volunteer with the Society, or participate in one of our events.
We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Arts Festival Cancel

Description: COVID-CANCELLED - The 10th Annual Mountain View Arts Festival runs September 12th and 13th. A showcase of all that is arts, culture, and heritage in Mountain View County. Various locations right in the heart of downtown Didsbury, including the Didsbury Museum, Didsbury Library, Didsbury Train Station, Top Note Music School, Didsbury Saloon, plus Chalk Art downtown! Artists at Work at the Train Station, Vote for your favourite scarecrow at the Museum, Make Your Own Souvenirs, and more TBA. Bring your camera! Visit with Alberta artists. Local musicians too! Free parking. Everyone welcome. Check the website at for details.

Drive-In Movie
Host: Didsbury Car Club
Description: Another great drive-in movie night in Didsbury! Check back for the name of this year's movie. The weather looks good and SAM Drive In is on ! $20 each vehicle / $5 each walk in to support S.A.M. Look for the BIG Screen. Please arrive before dark to avoid headlights hitting the screen.
Location: Reimer Plaza, 16th Street and Hwy 582 intersection, east parking area - Entrance opens at 7:30 pm. Movie starts at dusk.

Scarecrows on Parade
Host: Didsbury Historical Society
Description: Theme for the Scarecrows competition is Salute to Front Line Workers. Enjoy the day by visiting with the Mountain View Model Railroad Club and walk-about the Museum to see all the great heritage exhibits there. Special activities include: All day - Poppy-A-Thon crocheters and knitters in the Military Room on the main floor. 1 to 1:45 pm - Jamming with Grandma, a video presentation of jam making with Ellie and Leona Dorin, Dixie Viney, and Pat Crothers (of Pat's G . If you can't make it to the museum, you can watch this one on the Museum's YouTube Channel and Facebook. 2 to 2:45 pm - Storytelling with the Didsbury Municipal Library in the Schoolroom. 3 to 3:45 pm - Take our special Art Class for Preschoolers with 5 year old Oliver Windsor. Didsbury Preschool Society and Kidsbury Daycare children will be joining in on the Museum's YouTube Channel and Facebook and can ask Oliver questions by typing live! If you miss it the first time, you can watch it later as well.
