Bells of Peace/Chang
Host: Didsbury Historical Society
Description: Change of plans: The Museum will still be open from 1 - 4 pm. The Museum's Carillon will play O Canada followed by 11 bells at 11am, and again around 5 pm sunset. We encouraging people to visit the museum, learn the stories of the vets, walk along 20th and view the banners. Because we can't gather doesn't mean we can't remember them. What was planned: As a remembrance of those who served in wars, volunteers in Didsbury, and the Didsbury Historical Society will, once again, lead an initiative to have bells toll on November 11th. Please gather on the lawn at the Museum, 2118 - 21 Ave, about 4:30 pm. Bring candles or flashlights to help light up the night. At the going down of the sun, the bell at the museum will toll to honour Armistice Day. Appropriate music will then be played from the carillon for about 15 minutes. The Museum will be open for guests to get warm if needed. It is a time of remembrance and celebration. When you hear Didsbury's bells toll on November 11th, take a moment to pause and remember Any donations received will support the legion. Everyone welcome
Location: Didsbury Museum, 2110 - 21st Avenue - 4:30pm
