The Mountain View Arts Society is a group of volunteers in Didsbury and the surrounding region who support the arts, whether by hosting events or facilitating in the promotion of artists, musicans, writers, and dancers in Mountain View County.

We invite you to buy a membership in the Society and help us promote arts, culture and heritage in Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Carstairs, and Cremona Alberta, and their surrounding communities.
Coming Events include the Art Show & Sale held during the Didsbury Trade Show in April and the Mountain View Arts Festival in September. Tell us your event and we'll help promote it too.

Halloween Howler
Host: Town of Didsbury Events and Programming
Description: The HALLOWEEN HOWLER Family Dance is BACK! Join us for a SPOOKTACULAR evening of fun with a Family Dance, Haunted House, Snack Concession, Costume Contest, Games, and MORE! The highlight of the evening will be the chilling beats spun by our DJ, Shannon with AASP Entertainment; keeping the dance floor alive with Halloween-themed tunes and spooky tracks for your little monsters show off their best monster mash and creepy dance moves! Rebecca Habiak with Pixie Dust Parties will be conjuring up delightful and frightful balloon creations. Watch in amazement as ordinary balloons transform into twisted shapes, bringing smiles and spooky joy to all. Craving some treats to fuel your monstrous energy? Head over to our snack concession and indulge in some tasty treats and refreshments - including COTTON CANDY! And for the bravest souls among us, venture into our bone-chilling haunted house, where spooky surprises and spine-tingling scares await. There will be fog machines, flashing lights and loud noises. Please enter at your own risk and be advised that this haunted house may not be suitable for all ages. COSTUME CONTEST! Come dressed in your most fang-tastic costumes and embrace the Halloween spirit! Prizes will be awarded for three different categories (group/family costumes, individual adult, and indivdual child costumes) SKIP THE LINES! Pre-register and pay to skip the terrifying line at the door! Fright Night Movie
Host: Didsbury Municipal Library
Description: Swing by the library after hours for a scary movie night. Ages 12 plus. Drop In Program. Free entry and snacks. We dim the lights, watch a bone-chilling movie, and feast on spooktacular Halloween snacks. Movie: Happy Death Day - A college student must relive the day of her murder over and over again, in a loop that will end only when she discovers her killer's identity.

Book Sale

The Horror House
Host: Town of Didsbury Events and Programming
Description: Part of the Halloween Howler Family Dance. Nightmare Creations is a mobile haunted attraction business who opened their doors in 2021 with a haunted house built in a backyard. Admission is by donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Please dress warmly, as this haunted attraction is outside. Level of "scares" will increase after 9 pm. We dare you to join us! Please be advised there will be flashing lights, fog machines, and real actors inside the haunted house. Participant discretion is advised and may not be suitable for all users.
