Wildlife Conflict
Host: Mountain View County
Description: Wildlife Conflict Mitigation Strategies Workshop. Speakers will cover a number of topics related to producer-wildlife conflict. Learn how to prevent, report and implement management practices to protect your feed and your livestock. Topics include Ungulate Damage Mitigation, Mountain View Bear Smart Program, Identification of Predator Attacks on Livestock and Reporting, Compensation Programs, Trapping Tools and Hunting Regulations. Speakers include Mark Heckbert, Provincial Wildlife Conflict Specialist Paul Fraser, Chair, Mountain View Bearsmart Society and Mike Ewald, Provincial Problem Wildlife Specialist. Brought to you by the Central Alberta Forage and Livestock Association. Members $20, Non-Members $25. Lunch is provided. Museum AGM
Host: Didsbury Museum
Description: Annual General Meeting: Didsbury and District Historical Society. Inquiries, call 403-335-9295. Public is welcome and encouraged to attend. There is lots of time for visiting, reminiscing on the past and brainstorming fun ideas for the coming year. Agenda includes A Year in Review, Auditor's Report, and Election of Officers. Come for munchies as we recap 2024 and look ahead to 2025. Bring your questions and your ideas. Bring any friends who might be interested in joining the Society as we move forward with our mandate to tell the story of the founding, settlement, and development of Didsbury and the surrounding area, in order to preserve the past for future generations. Membership renewals and purchases can be made from 6:30-7 pm, and are necessary in order to vote at the meeting. Membership fees are $20 per Individual or $30 per Family and can be purchased in advance at didsburymuseum.ca/support.html.
