- Pie Social

- Description: Pie lovers will get a slice of heaven today when the Didsbury Museum hosts their Annual Pie Social. The Pie Social is sure to be a delicious and entertaining afternoon event with local bakers supplying a wide array of pies. Be assured this event is not only for those with a sweet tooth the pies will cover all favourites including fruit, creamy, and savory, so come visit the museum and get home-baked desserts! Come and taste our delicious pies, relax and enjoy the company of good friends and explore the Museum. While there, check out all the exhibits. Make a stop in the schoolroom, where you can be a student or a teacher in a 1907 classroom. Enjoy the train sets upstairs as they travel through the town in the early 1950s, and try your hand at weaving on our old wooden loom. Learn the history of the churches in our community, now the same room as Didsbury's first library, and Alberta's first free library! Besides being a whole lotta fun, the Museum's annual Pie Social is a fundraiser for the Historical Society. One slice of pie is $7. or you can get 2 slices for $12. The Museum is located at 2110 - 21st Avenue.
